Initial View. This is the initial view of I Got Notices when you click on the Calendar tab. If you look at March 2 you will notice an underlined name. This means that you either have Court this day or a 341 meeting. The red flags are critical events, yellow is high and blue would be low. Green means you are a go.
Change the Priority Settings. To change the priority settings you:
Click on SETTINGS in the upper left hand menu.
Click on OPTIONS.
Key Words.Now click on NEW on the right hand side.
Enter the term or phrase you wish to FLAG on the calendar.
Examples:
Dismissal
341 Hearing
Motion to Deny
Financial Management
Hearing to be held
Objections due
Once you have your priority settings finished you can quickly scan the calender for events.
Now let's say you wish to syncronize the month of March on your IGN calendar with your Outlook Calendar.
MarchOn the right hand side of the calendar you are going to right click on March 1 and move your mouse until you have selected all 31 days of March. You will see the selection in Orange.
Now click on EXPORT TO OUTLOOK on the mid-lower portion on the left hand side of the screen.
Open Outlook.
Export.You will see that all calendar events are loaded and ready to export to Outlook.
Click on EXPORT ALL EVENTS or EXPORT SELECTED EVENTS if you just want to choose certain events.
OutlookYou will see that the IGN for March 17th is now exported to Outlook as well as the other events.
Time Matters.Now if you wish to sync your IGN to Time Matters you still follow the steps above.
Next open Time Matters.
Click on FILE.
Click on SYNCHRONIZE.
Click on OUTLOOK.
TM SYNC.Clicn on SETUP OUTLOOK SYNCRONIZATION.
Click on NEXT through the next three screens.
Specify Records.I just sync the Event Records. However, you can sync any and all types if you so desire.
Click on EVENT RECORDS.
Click on OPTIONS.
General Tab.Select OUTLOOK EVENTS ARE UPDATED IN TIME MATTERS.
This is a one way sync to Time Matters.
Select which staff events you want synced.
Click on at the bottom of the window SYNCHRONIZE ONLY WITH THE FOLLOWING STAFF.
I am the only attorney in the office so I only need my calendar.
Date Range.Click on the DATE RANGE tab.
Click on the SYNCHRONIZE ONLY THE FOLLOWING DATE RANGE.
This speeds up the process and why re-write history.
I choose the 2 month range.
Click NEXT.
Delete.You can choose to allow the sync to delete records either way.
I make my choice to whether or not I am doing a two way sync or one way.
This is a one way sync of Outlook to TM.
So my choice would be SYNCHRONIZATION CAN DELETE RECORDS IN TIME MATTERS.
Click NEXT.
Change.This is where you can confirm changes before you the final sync takes place.
I do not confirm but I am comfortable process.
I reccomend that you click on CONFIRM ALL ACTIONS BEFORE MAKING CHANGES TO RECORDS.
This will allow you to be comfortable.
When you are comfortable click on DO NOT CONFIRM BEFORE MAKING CHANGES.
Click on USE MOST RECENTLY CHANGED RECORD. This allows the most up to date information to be presented.
Click NEXT.
Click SYNC NOW.
Access.Once you click on SYNC NOW Outlook will pop with this window.
Click on ALLOW ACCESS and select 10 MINUTES.
Click YES. Now Time Matters will have a pop up window.
Database.Time Matters will show you the changes to the database.
Click on START.
Sync Complete. You are now done and can click OK!
